Hello and welcome to our kitchen.

My name is Shan Thorn. I am a self taught cake artist and the sole operator of Repeated Affair. Sculpted Cakes and Toppers.

What started out as a hobby, making cakes for our 3 beautiful children soon became a regular request from family and friends. After 4 years of learning new techniques, growing from failures, building confidence within my creations and pushing myself out of the comfort zone, I was finally ready.

Taking the plunge in March 2018 I became a registered business and started baking from our home kitchen. Creating the Facebook page "Old North Cakes" (Named after the street we live on) was a way to showcase my edible art and to engage with the public. Fast forward a couple of months and word of mouth got out. "Old North Cakes" was becoming a regular name and came "Highly recommended".

A year later, feeling established and confident as a business rather than a hobby...A change was needed- A name change.

With a regular client base and feedback of "The cakes look incredible and taste amazing too" I couldn't resist this cheeky play on words.

With the scandalous name of "Repeated Affair" comes a promise of delicious cakes lingering on your lips, that'll have you coming back for more.
